We continue to analyze the data from the FEI database about the horse deaths during the FEI competitions, started in our previous article.
Europe is core region of main FEI disciplines. We analyzed the horse fatalities in Jumping, Eventing, Dressage and Endurance for last 10 years since 2007.
First, we analyzed the horses by their Admin NFs. There were 96 fatalities of horses that have been administered by European NFs.
Second, we analyzed the places of deaths. There were 108 horses that died in European countries.
Following charts show the two European countries that have the biggest share of horse fatalities in Europe.
Great Britain and France both have the biggest numbers of horse fatalities among European countries.
There were 25 horses from Great Britain that died during the FEI competitions: 23 in Eventing and 2 in Jumping.
There were 13 horses from France hat died during the FEI competitions: 7 in Endurance, 3 in Jumping and 3 in Eventing.
Also there were 27 horses that died during the FEI competitions held in Great Britain: 25 horses died in Eventing, 1 in Jumping and 1 in Endurance.
And there were 24 horses that died during the FEI competitions held in France: 16 horses died in Endurance, 6 in Eventing and 2 in Jumping.
