Money is the paramount

Fair Endurance

In the beginning of the year European Endurance community made the big hype with the online petition to remove WEC from “Horse Hell” – you called the UAE so.

And the same time European Endurance community is happy to accept money and sponsorship from the UAE.

If it is not hypocrisy, then how do you call this situation?

Look back and remember the main events of this year in Europe:

Brussels Equestrian Endurance Masters – pre-ride of European Championship 2017 – was sponsored by UAE.

World Championship for Young Riders in Rio Frio was sponsored by UAE.

World Championship for Young Horses in Negrepelisse was sponsored by UAE.

Competitions in Corlay were sponsored by UAE.

“Two days of Montcuq” also were sponsored by UAE.

So, what is it? Why were the main events in Europe sponsored by “Horse Hell”?

Why did the organizers in Brussels, Rio Frio, Corlay, Negrepelisse, Montcuq and other venues in Europe accept the money from “Horse Hell”?

In fact, after all your loud statements against horse abuse in UAE and suggestions to ban the UAE from Endurance sport, you are happy to deal with money from UAE.

It is obviously that European Endurance community is divided.
One part of this community creates the petitions against UAE, and another part of this community sees no problem with doing business with UAE.

You have forgotten Bundy.

Did the organisers of all events sponsored by UAE, remember Bundy while they received the money from UAE?
You know all the names of these organizers, just look at the schedules – why do you not cry shame upon them?

Did the many European riders remember Bundy while they weared the bibs with UAE flag and received the prizes from UAE?
You know all the names of these riders, just look at the start lists – why do you not cry shame upon them?

Did the officials remember Bundy while they accepted the invitation to work in events sponsored by UAE?
You know all the names of these officials, just look at the schedules – why do you not cry shame upon them?

If you want to wipe out the UAE from the Endurance sport – you have to admit that you are divided. And then you have to unite.

You have to be honest to the end:

  • if you called the UAE “Horse Hell”;
  • if you think the UAE have disgraced the reputation of Endurance sport;
  • if you want to remove the UAE from Endurance sport;

then stop to accept their money for your events, stop participate in the events sponsored by UAE, just boycott UAE at all!

But you will not stop.

Because for you it is just business as usual.

It is ordinary European hypocrisy.

Here are just a few examples of European hypocrisy.

Look back at the online petition against WEC in UAE, there are lots of comments.

EXAMPLE 1:

Is it the same Christine Smyth who signed the petition against UAE and after this she participated in Euston Park which is well known as a British outpost of UAE?

What is it? It is hypocrisy.

EXAMPLE 2:

Is it the same Annie Joppe who wrote “it would be hypocritical to have the WEC in Dubai” and after this she participated in Euston Park and Keysoe, both sponsored by UAE? It would be hypocritical to see Annie in Euston Park which is sponsored and frequently visited by Ruler of Dubai, isn’t it?

What is it? It is hypocrisy.

EXAMPLE 3:

Is it the same Sandra Bechter who signed the petition against UAE and after this she participated in Pisa which is well known as an Italian outpost of UAE?

What is it? It is hypocrisy.

EXAMPLE 4:

Is it the same Lea Kehlhofer who wrote “Dubai is the hell for horses” and after this she participated in Pisa, which is sponsored by “hell for horses” and frequently visited by Ruler of Dubai?

What is it? It is hypocrisy.

EXAMPLE 5:

Is it the same Gabriella Bosco who wrote so emotional comment under petition and after this she worked in Pisa twice, as Technical Delegate as well as President of Ground Jury? How can it be tolerated to work for and receive money from the “rotten fish”?

What is it? It is hypocrisy.

It is just a few examples we can find in public comments.
You can imagine how many people who signed this petition without comments, after this they hypocritically participated in events sponsored by UAE.

Think about this.

If you want to clean the Endurance sport, start to clean yourselves!

Сlean yourselves from your hypocrisy!

Organizers – stop to take money and sponsorship from the UAE!
Riders – stop to participate in events sponsored by the UAE!
Officials – stop to work in events sponsored by the UAE!

But you will not stop.

Because money is the paramount. Admit it.
