Hippodrome of San Rossore, Pisa, became the venue of Toscana Endurance Lifestyle 2016, where best riders of the world compete alongside Italian athletes engaged in the Italian Open Championship, which take place simultaneously.

The event sponsored by Meydan and organized by sistemaeventi.it (CEO Gianluca Laliscia) is the first stage of the international circuit of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup Festival, which chose Italy and San Rossore before continuing with other venues in Great Britain, Slovakia and Spain.

Toscana Endurance Lifestyle 2016 consists of 4 rounds, two of them on 23-24 and 29-30 July, as well as next two on 26-28 August and 9-11 September.

The best three riders (except UAE riders) in CEI3* 160 km and in CEI2*120 km of Toscana Endurance Lifestyle 2016 will be invited to the HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup, next january in Dubai. The six top riders of 1st round are Costanza Laliscia, Alex Luque Moral, Robert Diez Noguera, Emilie Lambert, Maria Alvarez Ponton and Paul Muntala Sanchez.

In the 1st round 140 riders from 14 countries were competing.

Sheikh Hamad bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum won the 160-km race, mounting Souletoile de Sommant. The Italian champion, Costanza Laliscia (daughter of Gianluca Laliscia), on top of Za’Amah, landed the second place; while Saeed Sultan Shames Al Muhairi, riding Siam Du Barthas, finished third.

If we will look at the results of 1st round, we will find total domination of UAE riders in every ride.
CEI 160 km: best European rider (except Costanza Laliscia on 2nd place) took 4th place lagged behind the winner for 31 minutes.
CEI 120 km: UAE riders took all top 3 places, best European rider took 9th place lagged behind the winner for 43 minutes.
CEIYJ 120 km: UAE riders took all top 3 places, best European rider took 4th place lagged behind the winner for 78 minutes.
CEI 92 km: UAE riders took all top 3 places, best European rider took 5th place lagged behind the winner for 43 minutes.

In 2nd round UAE riders took 1st and 2nd places for CEI 120 km and all top 3 places for CEIYJ 120 km.
